復活節（主復活日）是一個基督教徒的重要節日，在每年春分月圓之後第一個星期日。基督徒認為，復活節象徵著重生與希望，為紀念耶穌基督於公元30或33年之間被釘死在十字架之後第三天復活的日子。如該地區有復活節假期的話，通常與耶穌受難日一起放假。今天，許多與復活節相關的民間風俗例如復活節兔和復活節彩蛋都不是起源於基督教的。耶穌只吩咐門徒要記念自己的死亡（路加福音22：19，20）。

耶穌的復活是指根據《新約》四福音及使徒行傳的記載，耶穌在被釘死在十字架後，三天後從死裡復活的事件。根據《聖經》的記載，在第三天時，墳墓裡沒有骸骨、遺體，只留下當時纏裹耶穌身體的布。當時是安息日馬利亞在天未亮時去到埋葬耶穌的墳墓前，突然間聽到聲音說你要找的耶穌已經不在這了，他已經復活了，他看見墳墓中沒有耶穌的身體。
